Oakland Protesters Prank Police and Media

An early morning meeting brought me to Lantham Square in downtown Oakland, where I came across news media and the police.

Someone had posted a notice on social media that a 5:30 AM protest was scheduled for the square. Police and media bit. But when I passed by at 7:00 AM, there were still no protesters, though, the police were still on the corner across from the square and the media was packing up.

I expect things to get much more intense later in the day and into the night as 5 serious protests are planned in the city.
