Director Spike Lee was accused Friday of “stigmatizing” Chicago and “insulting” its residents by choosing the name “Chiraq” for his upcoming Chicago-based movie, reports the Chicago Sin-Times.
“It’s very offensive and, hopefully, he rethinks his position. He definitely needs to change the name. That’s an insult to the city of Chicago. I don’t care what he changes it to, but not that one,” said Far South Side Ald. Anthony Beale (9th), former chairman of the City Council’s Police Committee.
Spike may be on to something. In the first quarter of 2015 shootings increased by 40 percent and homicides climbed by 26 percent over the same period a year ago. But who knows how Spike is going to spin it? Somehow I doubt we are going to see a discussion in the movie of how minimum wages laws prevent low-skilled black youth from gaining their first jobs, and thus they have nothing to do but roam Rahmaland with guns tucked in their waistbands.

Its amusing to see liberals attack their own, especially a race baiting a-hole like Spike Lee.
