Deal Reached for Congress to Review Iran Pact

A neocon win.

Republicans have made a deal with Democrats that would give Congress the power to review and possibly overturn a potential nuclear deal with Iran that could be struck in the coming months by the Obama administration and America’s foreign allies.

“We have reached a bipartisan agreement that keeps the congressional review process absolutely intact, full of integrity,” said Corker.

  1. With the neocons firmly in command, no matter who becomes prez, we just get a new dog infested with the same old fleas.

Question: What do you call 300 neocons hanging from lamp posts?

    Answer: A good start.

  2. Although a "deal" shouldn't be needed, just starting to normalize relations with Iran is about the only thing that this administration has done that I agree with.

  3. I have been watching this absurd theatrical production for the past 37 years and I get the distinct feeling the climax of this tableau is playing out in front of us and the pace is quickening as the predetermined end is known to anyone who has been paying attention.

  4. Umm, please correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't the Constitution require the "advice and consent of the Senate" to make a treaty?

Do they really get around that requirement by just calling the treaty with Iran a deal instead of a treaty?
