Popcorn Time: Watch Treasury Secretary Jack Lew Sputter and Stutter

This is what government transparency really looks like.

Rep. Sean Duffy, the congressman representing Wisconsin’s Seventh District, put Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on the ropes as he questioned Lew about his email correspondence with Hillary Clinton in his former position as Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources in 2009-2010.

Lew was reduced to babbling, as he tried to keep from saying anything that could have put him in a position of shedding the simplest of truths, which might have unknown ramifications for Hillary and beyond.

  2. To me, the most interesting thing that came to light regarding this is when Hillary Clinton tried to scuff it off as something that we have to trust all government employees with at their word. Hillary admitted that the entire system of transparency in our government, supposedly in place to protect against corruption, is based upon the honor system. It's much bigger than a former Sec of State and her aspirations to the presidency. She actually admitted, on national television, that there is no way to know just how corrupt the government actually is.
