CHICAGO: Jesús "Chuy" Garcia in 'Dead Heat' Against Rahm Emanuel

A Chicago polling firm is calling the city’s runoff campaign between Mayor Rahm Emanuel and challenger Jesus “Chuy” Garcia a “dead heat,” reports the Chicago Sun-Times.

“They’re likely dead even,” says pollster Tom Swiss of Ogden & Fry.

In the new poll, Emanuel had 42.9 percent support to Garcia’s 38.5 percent. The margin of error was +/- 3.2 percent.

Both polls show 18.6 percent of respondents were undecided.

Chuy is getting very aggressive support from lefties.

The George Soros-funded Democracy in America has put out an email that states:
The Chicago mayoral election could be the most gamechanging campaign of the year. Progressive champion Jesús "Chuy" García is taking on Rahm Emanuel -- and the polls show García can win.The two candidates are in a statistical dead heat heading into the April 7 runoff.

We have less than a month to mobilize to make sure that Chuy García and the people-powered movement he now leads will win that election. Victory isn't just going to mean defeating Rahm Emanuel. Victory will also be a clear sign to corporate Democrats across America that their days, as well as their policies, are numbered.

With the choice being between Rahm and this guy, the people of Chicago have already lost.
