The Government's "Vision Drain"

By Chris Rossini

Quick...what's the go-to move for government when something is failing?

If you said "throw more resources at it" you're correct!

Government does the exact opposite of what occurs in real life (i.e., the voluntary marketplace).

Government doesn't worry about things like profit & loss. It just takes our wealth and throws it at its "visions".

If the "vision" fails to materialize (as it always does) government just grabs even more of our wealth and heaves it down the same exact drain.

By far, the greatest "vision" failure is U.S. foreign policy. What a mess, and what an economic burden on our lives here at home.

As you surely have heard, the latest enemy du jour is ISIS. Now keep in mind, that prior to the U.S. invasion of Iraq, there was no ISIS. It sprang up as one of the many unintended consequences that U.S. foreign policy has created over the years.

At first, ISIS was called a "Jayvee Team" by Obama. Then it was called "a bunch of midgets" by Gen. Dempsey.

Then came a dramatic turnaround. Former CIA Director, Leon Panetta, said the U.S. government would be fighting these 'midgets' for 30 years! Notice Panetta didn't say the U.S. should cut its losses and come home. Rarely (very rarely) does government cut its losses. Pride and attachment to their "visions" are just too strong.

What's another 30 years?

You and I plan on earning money, right? And our pockets are always open to government's wretched hand, right?

Today, yet another former CIA Director named Michael Morell, says that at least 100,000 ground troops will be needed to defeat ISIS.

So we're now up to 30 years, and 100,000 ground troops.

Do you hear that sucking sound?

That's the "vision drain"....and it's getting ready for another deposit.
