Breaking: Rand Paul Eyes April 7 Presidential Campaign Launch

Rand Paul is looking to announce his presidential bid the second week of April—if he decides to run—a person familiar with his plans said Tuesday, reports Jeremy Winters at NYT.

The senator’s associates said he would most likely declare his candidacy in Kentucky, the state that elected him in 2010 when he was still an ophthalmologist with no experience in government. He would then depart on a campaign swing through states with the earliest nominating contests, like Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, reports NYT.

  1. Huh, I'd have thought April 1st might have been more appropriate.

    1. True, that. Randy is a tar baby, but instead of being a trap for the established GOP voters, he's being set out there to hook liberty minded voters into the GOP's big tent where they can be screwed at leisure by the party's fatboys.

    2. Yea forget Rand, the candidate most aligned to liberty than any of the others...We should vote for the Libertarian Party nominee...the LP may actually pull in 1.5% of the vote this time!!! What a big influence!

      and sadly, it'll work too.

    4. Saying that Randy is "most aligned to liberty" is like saying that one turd is a nicer shade of brown than another. I don't vote. I quit the LP in '98. Next suggestion?

Randy won't get the nomination, though he's sucking up to the GOP leadership as hard as he can. He's a tarbaby.

BTW, Randy isn't a candidate yet. Wait until he is before shilling for him.
