Breaking: Indications More Developments Coming in the Federal Investigation of Ron Paul Inc.Operatives

Kent Sorenson, who was paid under the table to switch his support tor Ron Paul during the 2012 presidential campaign by a Ron Paul operative, has had his sentencing delayed until April.

He is apparently co-operating with the federal government on a related "larger investigation," which likely centers around Ron Paul Inc operatives involved in the payoffs, and possibly an investigation into the Michelle Bachmann campaign.

The Des Moines Register reports;I
In a hearing before U.S. District Court Judge Robert W. Pratt on Thursday, attorneys for the government and for Sorenson agreed to delay sentencing in the case until April, pending progress on a larger federal investigation into the 2012 presidential race.

Sorenson pleaded guilty last summer to concealing payments he received for work on two 2012 presidential campaigns and obstructing an investigation into the incident. He faces up to 25 years in prison, although his sentencing has been delayed for months.

The ostensible reason for the delay has been that Sorenson is cooperating with federal investigators on a case against others involved in impropriety connected to the 2012 campaign.

During the hearing on Thursday, a federal prosecutor said the government was "engaged" and "making progress" in a "larger investigation" and asked to delay Sorenson's sentencing at least until April to allow that investigation to develop.
