Romney Tells Donors He Is Considering 2016 White House Bid

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney told a group of donors on Friday that he is considering a White House bid in 2016.

The gathering was held at the Manhattan offices of New York Jets owner Woody Johnson and included about 30 of the biggest donors to Romney’s past campaigns, reports WSJ.

Since this would cut into support for Jeb Bush, Rand Paul is in support of a Romney run.

“As Sen. Paul has previously said, the more the merrier,” said Doug Stafford, a senior adviser to the Kentucky senator, reports WSJ.

Sources tell me that Stafford is likely to run any Rand presidential campaign.

  1. One can assume the movie that came out documenting his life during the last campaign was just a way to humanize Romney. He may have been planning to run all along...thinking he can win by passing himself off as the reluctant warrior.
