Rand Paul Goes on MTV to Talk Civil Rights
Below is the statement Rand Paul put out on MTV today on Martin Luther King Day. What the hell is he talking about? He is playing completely into the hands of leftists who attempt to portray the idea that there are two Americas and that in the second America people don't get an equal break and that government must be brought in to force this break.
Rand leaves off the second part of the clause so that his paid cheerleaders can claim that he is somehow making a libertarian statement.
There is no one in America today that is messing up the libertarian philosophy as much as Rand. This performance was just disgusting.

ReplyDeleteWhat I think is more damaging to libertarianism's public image is the habit of trying to attribute libertarian principles to anyone willing to run for office. Politicians are mostly sociopaths. At best, the would-be politicians running for office, are well meaning dimwits who remain credulous to the lies put forth about "working within the system"..
There's a saying, "You can't kill a snake by living in its belly". I think that's pretty accurate. The system is rotten and can't be reformed.
