When protesters disrupted a hearing of the Senate Armed Services Committee, when war criminal Henry Kissinger was testifying, John McCain acted like, well John McCain.
“Get out of here you low-life scum,” McCain said into the microphone after protesters screamed “Arrest Henry Kissinger for war crimes!”
“You’re going to have to shut up or I’m going to have you arrested,” McCain told the demonstrators.
Once the protesters were silenced, McCain took a moment to directly apologize to Kissinger,.
“From all of my colleagues, I’d like to apologize for allowing such disgraceful behavior towards a man who served his country with the greatest distinction,” McCain said.

As much as i hate liberals (with very few exceptions) I have to give Code Pink credit for being one of the few anti-war liberals (along with Glenn Greenwald) with actually staying consistent on the issue of mindless warmongering.
