So Where Exactly is Ukraine? (A Few Guesses)

Where’s Ukraine? Each dot depicts the location where a U.S. survey respondent situated Ukraine; the dots are colored based on how far removed they are from the actual country, with the most accurate responses in red and the least accurate ones in blue. 1. I always laugh my ass off when these idiots can't read a map. I knew where Ukraine was when I was a kid for fucks sake! And that's before they broke aware from the then Soviet Union. It's amazing people still have any faith in public schools. Morons.

  2. They should have asked one additional question: were you educated exclusively in government schools? It would be interesting to see if there is a correlation.

  3. It would be easier if bodies of water were colored blue. It's no big deal for oceans, but for inland seas like the Black Sea it throws a person off. Notice the big blob that put Ukraine as being in the Black Sea. The way I locate the Ukraine is to look for the Black Sea. One of the easiest ways to remember geography and find it on a map is how a place relates to a body of water. Instead of going right for it I had to look at the blobs and first figure out which of them was the Black Sea.

  4. I no longer believe that our wars are for the protection of America, but be ready for when you get this reasonable response: Do I, personally, need to care from where a threat comes, if I've hired others to find this out for me, and to just deal with it?

I think this approach misses the point.

(Yes, I know that "hiring" with other people's money is theft.)
