Can you imagine if someone tried to pull this off in the "land of the free"?
The PC Thought Police would be all over it. So would Senator Al Franken, who'd surely want some "answers".
From a libertarian private property perspective, the cafe in France can make exchanges with whoever they want and under whatever terms they can find customers to agree upon.
Is it good for business?
The cafe's profit/loss statement will provide the truth.
The market is the ultimate no-nonsense regulator.
