The Southern Avenger is Now an Apologist for Urban Primitives

Jack Hunter, once operating as "The Southern Avenger, has gone full touchy feely toward Urban Primitives in the black community.

The man who once wrote:

"Using the logic of identity politics, one could just as easily make the case that black Americans owe white Americans an apology for today's high black crime rate — a very real problem that affects people living in the present — yet accusations of "racism" would fly at the mere suggestion. But then again, it is the threat of being called "racist" that compels our leaders to do all sorts of goofy things these days."

Now writes in an article titled, Why it is so important for white Americans to listen to the protesters in Missouri:

How many white Americans, who in dismissing black complaints as nothing more than victimhood or race-baiting, end up reinforcing these perceptions even when that isn’t their intention? How many whites develop an attitude that blacks are simply doing-it-to-themselves?...

It’s intellectually dishonest for whites to judge the black protesters seen marching in the streets of Ferguson and St. Louis without some sort of acknowledgment of the systemic injustice that continues to be part of the black experience in the United States...

Black Americans have a pressing story to tell, in Ferguson, St. Louis and beyond. And it is tragic. Let’s hear it.

Sounds to me like the columnist, formerly known as The Southern Avenger, is following Rand Paul's lead and taking the Al Sharpton view of the Urban Primitive situation. There is no identifying the government actions that push many in the black community to urban primitivism, from minimum wage laws, to welfare payments to public school education. Where are the calls for the elimination of these programs from the white, touchy feely, Al Sharptons? Instead, there is a call to listen to the clueless Urban Primitives. No there shouldn't be a call to listen to the Urban Primitives, there should be a call to speak truth to the Urban Primitives. They should be told that they are getting screwed by government and that they should stop attempting to get anything from the government. They should be told, in other words, to stop listening to the political power players and wannabe power players, who see the UPs as an important voting bloc and will not tell them truth, fearing to upset this voting bloc.

And thus these posers do nothing to truly help the Urban Primitive climb out of the LOUP.

They are just wearing a different mask now.
