The Nobel Committee Needs To Adopt The Asterisk

When visiting Major League Baseball's website, you'll find the following list when searching for all-time home run leaders:


Notice the asterisk? The full list contains a handful of them. They're the guys who were caught taking steroids or performance-enhancing drugs.

Oddly enough, when visiting the Nobel Peace Prize website, there are no asterisks next to the 2009 Laureate, Barack Obama. Instead, it comically says: "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples".

Obama is so extraordinary when it comes to "diplomacy" and "cooperation" that this year's Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Malala Yousafzay, had to tell Obama to his face that "drone attacks are fueling terrorism"!

Hey Nobel Committee....Aren't you embarrassed?

Bring out the asterisk!

And if you want to redeem yourself for the 2009 blunder, award next year's Peace Prize to this man:

  1. Hi Chris, I like your post, but in the MLB home run table the asterisk is used to identify currently active players as opposed to those who are retired. If it was for cheating, then we would also see them next to Bonds, Sosa, McGwire and Palmeiro - to name a few...
