The Biden administration and private companies are working to develop a standard way of handling credentials — often referred to as “vaccine passports” — that would result in a method by which Americans would prove they have been vaccinated against COVID-19, reports The Washington Post.
According to the Post, the effort has gained momentum amid President Biden’s pledge that the nation will start to regain normalcy this summer. (So this is what he means by normalcy?)
The administration’s initiative has been driven largely by arms of the Department of Health and Human Services, including an office devoted to health information technology, reports the Post. The White House this month took on a bigger role coordinating government agencies involved in the work, led by coronavirus coordinator Jeff Zients, with a goal of announcing updates in coming days.
The passports are expected to be free and available through applications for smartphones, which could display a scannable code similar to an airline boarding pass.
This is simply a horrific idea.
First, this is a vaccine that was rushed through testing with no clear indication of what the long-term consequences might be. Second, this is a vaccine for a virus that is of no serious consequence to 99.7% of the population. And it is of no serious consequence to 99.9% of the population under 70 years of age who do not already have consequential comorbidities. Why would you want to tag people, which is what this type of passport would do, as to whether they take a vaccine against a virus that has such low-risk consequences?
A further major problem is that this would force many more to take the vaccine in order to carry on with "normal" life if there is a method by which corporations can check via the government if a person has been vaccinated and if it becomes a government mandate for travel.
But, most concerning of all, this would be one more government-issued document in a world where government-issued documents are used by the government, over time, to further track and control the population.
A social security card/number is now required to open a bank account---and even to become employable. All such activities associated with the number, such as interest earned and wages paid are then reported to the government. That is when a bank isn't filing, by means of the number, some government-mandated "suspicious activity" report against a "customer".
A license to drive, which at one time did not even carry our pictures on them, is now required (or a similar document) to open a bank account, pass through security at an airline, etc.
It is not inconceivable that a "vaccine passport" might eventually evolve into a "health passport" which might limit our health choices (perhaps in line with more stringent "equity determined healthcare").
This is why news of a vaccine passport created or co-ordinated by the government is a particularly alarming development. At a time when the fever for central planning is growing, the last thing we need is another document that makes it easier for the government to issue central planning regulations and control.
Voices should be raised loudly against this passport plan.

Big pharma, Gates, the Great Reset crew are all evil. Lew Rockwell interviewed Dr. Tenpenny maybe 10 years ago and she warned that this was coming. It's not just the covid vaccine either. They have many many vaccines in development and would like to force as many as possible on you all while avoiding any liability from whatever ill effects those products have on you or your family.
ReplyDeleteSadly, a large majority of people will likely accept this. And many of those people are the same ones that would have laughed and derided as crazed “conspiracy theorists” those who—even as recently as one year ago—warned about such a thing.
ReplyDeleteIt’s unbelievable that I’m even having to debate people on this topic; i.e., having to defend freedom of choice not to be vaccinated. So many people have let this turn them into crazed, irrational monsters! People who otherwise seemed kind and intelligent.
As many here likely know, Texas Governor Gregg Abbott recently rescinded his draconian mask mandate (and other Covid-related restrictions) from last year. I was hopeful that this was perhaps a light at the end of the tunnel for Texans. But it doesn’t appear that way now. Almost nothing has changed (at least in the left-wing Austin area). The masses continue to wear their masks and many of the stores are terrified to allow people in their stores without masks. Even in the more conservative suburbs of Austin, many of the stores cave to the mob demanding universal mask wearing. I even had a restaurant manager admit to me that they were going to keep the mask policy in place, not because he thought that it was effective, or because the majority of their regular customers want it (quite the opposite, he said), but because a few very vocal, very aggressive pro-maskers demanded it.
It’s unbelievable—the governor takes away peoples’ and business owners’ freedoms, gives them many of those freedoms back many months later, and the masses are upset about it, demanding to remain slaves and for everyone else to do the same!
It has always been like that here in Florida; even without a mask mandate for months they are still required in the chain establishments and many local places of business, and most people you see anywhere are wearing masks, even outdoors. No mask mandate definitely does not mean no masks.
DeleteThe more I look at leftists the more I am convinced that they are subhuman. By now I don't care about them at all... the more of them die or develop long-term health problems from their coveted vaccines, the better.
DeleteGreg Abbott is useless. He refused to stand up for Texans when the COVID madness began and crippled the state's economy with his shutdown. He broke the backs of many families who were already struggling financially and then added mask mandates to top it all off. Texas needs a leader who isn't paralyzed by fear...or trees.
DeleteLast week I drove HWY 20 across the south from Texas to Georgia. Everywhere I stopped along the way mask wearers were the distinct minority. In some establishments 1 in 10 were wearing masks. After being in a "Dread Fear" city for 2 months it was such a relief. It felt liberating to finally be in the majority as someone brazen enough to show my face in public.

We are to become the new "untouchables". And when the virus mutates into strains unaffected by the "vaccines", rather than acknowledge reality those with Covid Derangement Syndrome will blame those who haven't submitted to the experimental treatments.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what they'll do. My wife recently received an email from work urging people to get the vaccine. In the email, it claimed the unvaccinated will cause increasing virus mutations. To my knowledge, it is the immuno-comprimised and the vaccinated that will cause increasing mutations.
DeleteThis is my line in the sand. No vaccine means just that ... NO. I have never done any and will not start now. Eventually someone with more skills than most will get around this and then the rest of us will too.
