MAD: Governor of New Mexico is Closing Down Grocery Stores!!

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham

This is the damn most insane authoritarian governor of all of them. Stalin would be proud.

A dozen grocery stores around New Mexico have been forced to close their doors by order of the governor.

Under Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s public health order, businesses with four or more positive COVID-19 rapid responses in a 14-day period have to shut down for two weeks.

KOB 4 TV is reporting that the closures currently affect several essential business including grocery stores in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Roswell, Carlsbad, Farmington, Hobbs and Las Cruces.

According to the television station, residents in southeast New Mexico said they’re worried a lack of options in rural communities will force people to travel out of state or to stand in long lines at other stores.

  1. I would imagine that people will stop getting tested now, or develop fake test results, to avoid these things. Sort of like the "Shoot, shovel, and shut up" philosophy that landowners adopted as a response to endangered-species regulations.

    1. I'll never consent to a test but supermarket employees have no choice other than to quit.

    1. She is evil. One of my friends dubbed her Michelle Wuhan Gruesome. She is trying her best to out-gruesome Gavin Gruesome and out-witch Gretchen Witchmer.

  3. In the obscene contest of Governors to see who can outdo the others in the "in an abundance of caution" department, Gov. Grisham has just pulled ahead of Gov. Whitmer by a nose.
