...as of Friday:
  • California
  • New York
  • Illinois
  • Pennsylvania
  • Connecticut
  • Oregon
That's approximately 95 million people on lockdown or 41% of the United States population.

  5. Friend that lives in France told me they do not allow bicycling. The excuse is they need to limit medical attention for other than COVID-19 and cyclists are more prone to crashing and requiring medical attention than walking and running.

So far no bike ban in in San Diego. With the gyms closed and having a knee injury that keeps me from running, they will have to use force to keep me from riding.

    1. I know SD's not in L A., but Page one of L.A County 6-page 'Safer at home order for control of covid-19' states "As a point of clarity, this Order does not prohibit any individual or family from outdoor activities such as hiking, walking, shopping at Essential Businesses, including grocery stores and restaurants offering delivery, drive thru or carry out service, so long as all persons practice social distancing to the extent practicable."

The order was signed by Dr. Muntu Davis, MD, who was 'sworn in as the new Los Angeles County health officer' on 8/6/18. His bio states "Prior to working at the ACPHD, he worked in the Immunization Branch of the California Department of Health Services on pandemic planning 🤔 and education on febrile rash evaluation." http://www.physiciansnewsnetwork.com/la_county/dr-muntu-davis-sworn-in-as-la-county-health-officer/article_2da95642-9985-11e8-ae5b-930b7467eaea.html

For what it's worth, a walkway in the foothills in a suburb which we go to everyday is full of many people, it's actually busier than I've ever seen it, seriously, hundreds of people, families, kids, oldsters , teens, joggers, bikes 😅, families playing baseball, many mom's with babies in strollers, friends chatting, etc. I'd estimate at least 8 times the amount of normal people. I was shocked. It is a stunning site. As Bob has alluded to in other posts, I don't want to post pics or video or reveal the location because then it might get shut down, even though like I said, everyone is in compliance with the L.A order which I quoted above, which clearly allows walking outdoors and hiking.

  6. We are essentially living in a medical police state, brought on by a fake emergency. How long do you think they will keep this going? And can the economy last?
