Cuomo Admits That Coronavirus Quarantine May Have Backfired in Some Cases

 Andrew Cuomo
Sweeping statewide quarantine orders may not have been the most effective strategy to combat the coronavirus, Gov. Andrew Cuomo conceded on Thursday, reports The New York Post.

“We closed everything down. That was our public health strategy,” said Cuomo during a press briefing. “If you re-thought that or had time to analyze that public health strategy, I don’t know that you would say ‘Quarantine everyone.'”

“I don’t even know that that was the best public health policy. Young people then quarantined with older people, [it] was probably not the best public health strategy,” he said. “The younger people could have been exposing the older people to an infection.”

How true, college kids who have nowhere to go other than back home from a closed-in dorm environment.

Power-freaks thinking in terms of the power benefits of fearmongering without thinking out the consequences is what we witnessed.

College kids would have figured out on their own from their dorm rooms that they shouldn't interact with their parents or grandparents if there was a chance they could expose them to the virus. But the power freaks pushed them together with no options.

  1. The stupidest thing was closing schools which is just closing the free day care system. How many working parents had to drop off the kids with grandma/grandpa on their way to work?
