Multiple updates below including Stone's fear he will be Epstein'd in jail
This is a developing story. Return to this post for updates.
UPDATE 1
Stone was convicted of all seven criminal counts that he faced: obstruction of proceedings, five founds of false statements, and one count of witness tampering.
UPDATE 2
Judge Amy Berman Jackson set Stone’s sentencing for February 6.
UPDATE 3
Roger never had a chance given he faced a jury of 12 from the heavily anti-Trump Washington DC and the judge allowed the prosecution to spin the tale that the trial was somehow related to the absurd Russiagate myth.
UPDATE 4
UPDATE 5Roger Stone did nothing wrong.— 𝙻𝚎𝚎 𝚂𝚝𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚊𝚑𝚊𝚗 ⏳ (@stranahan) November 15, 2019
This was a another shameless political prosecution by the fascist Deep State.
It’s all very very wrong.
UPDATE 6
Via Bloomberg:
Prosecutors asked for Stone to be kept in custody until then, saying he had violated the court’s gag order by giving a statement to his followers on Thursday night. U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson declined the request. Jackson said Stone had “largely adhered” to her direction and been in court for every appearance.
Stone declined to comment as he left the courthouse. Supporters were crying, and one was removed.
UPDATE 7
INCREDIBLE. Gag order remains on Stone.
Via Darren Samuelsohn:
Judge Jackson says she's OK w/ Stone lawyers making a written request on the gag order. "I'm happy to read it. But I'm not going to change it at this time."
UPDATE 8
Stone's fear: He will be Epstein'd in jail:
-RWI saw Roger Stone a couple nights ago and he told me he’s scared they’re going to Epstein him. I can’t say that I think his fear is unfounded.— Cassandra Fairbanks 🕊✌️ (@CassandraRules) November 15, 2019
Can we get a presidential pardon here? The fallout for doing so can’t be much worse than the current “witch-hunt” against Trump.
ReplyDeleteI support a pardon for Stone 100%.
DeletePresidential pardon
ReplyDeleteIf Trump does not pardon Stone he is utterly worthless. Stone was railroaded.
ReplyDeleteNot pardoning is part of Trump's five-dimensional chess. He has the Deep State just where he wants it.
DeleteEspecially after Trump pardoned Joe Arpaio, who as far as I'm concerned should be in prison. But that's just my opinion.
DeleteWhy should Arpaio be in prison?
DeleteArpaio needs a taste of his own medicine. A couple of years in one of his tent cities, wearing pink underwear and eating green bologna sandwiches would probably suffice.
Delete1. Trump might wait until he is re-elected to then pardon Stone and others.
ReplyDelete2. Stone may actually receive a very light sentence.
3. Sentencing in Feb 2020 - meanwhile Stone is free. No reason to wait 3 months unless hoping whole subject will fade from public awareness and light sentence will not undo big "Stone Found Guilty" headlines.
In other words, I don't think anyone will dare to harm Stone in any serious way.
Roger Stone is a political prisoner, or soon will be if Trump doesn't step up.
ReplyDeleteMess with the bull, you get the horns!
ReplyDeleteTrump should pardon Stone, Manafort, and Flynn. He has pardoned some US soldiers and Orthodox Jew breaking a number of OSHA and other regulations.
