BREAKING: Jeffrey Epstein Found Injured In His Jail Cell

According to NBC sources, Jeffrey Epstein was found injured and in a fetal position in his jail cell.

Two sources tell News 4 that Epstein may have tried to hang himself, while a third source cautioned that the injuries were not serious and questioned if Epstein might be using it as a way to get a transfer.

A fourth source said an assault has not been ruled out, and that another inmate was questioned. The inmate who investigators have talked to in Lower Manhattan facility has been identified as Nicholas Tartaglione, according to a source. Tartaglione is a former Orange County police officer who was arrested in December 2016 and accused of killing four men in an alleged cocaine distribution conspiracy, then burying their bodies in his yard in Otisville, according to court records.

Jeffrey Epstein was at the center of a medical emergency inside a Manhattan jail — which one source has described as an attempted suicide, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.

A source said prison staff were seen rushing through the well-lit corridors at around 1:30 AM EST on July 23.

Screams were heard by other inmates, the source said.

A witness described Epstein, 66, as being “blue in the face” and “sprawled out on the floor” while being tended to by prison staff.

The situation was so dire, that at one point, Epstein appeared to have lost consciousness and was unresponsive.

He was “carried away” by staff, the source said.

CBS News reports Epstein was found crying on the floor of his jail cell.
