New US Espionage Charges Against Julian Assange

This is just horrific.

The bully Trump is in action once again.

Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, has been indicted on 17 counts of violating the Espionage Act for his role in obtaining and publishing secret military and diplomatic documents in 2010, the Justice Department announced on Thursday.

According to The New York Times, the Obama administration debated charging Assange under the Espionage Act but ultimately chose not to.

This is all on Trump. Reactions worth noting:

  1. Thank you for covering this.

This represents a stake in the heart of the constitution.

The mainstream media dug its own grave with Russia-gate and will bring our democracy down with it.

Shame on Trump for his war on the first amendment.

    1. We don’t have a democracy. We have a republic. And it was doomed long ago - sometime around September 1787.

  2. We do have a democracy. It's a fact. Just because you wish it still were a republic doesn't make any difference. Start prepping.

    1. It may be a weak republic, but it’s still a republic not a democracy. Otherwise, we would elect presidents via a popular vote instead of through the Electoral College just to name one example.

Besides, the last thing I want is a republic or a democracy. Sign me up for a Private Property Society (PPS).

That's Will Barr's DOJ, boys and girls. Yes, the same man who is protecting the president from the mean and ugly Demo-rats. His DOJ is now making up new charges against Assange because he dared --DARED, I tell you!-- embarrass the Leviathan by lifting its skirt ever so slightly.
