Starbucks and the Druggies: A Progress Report

I put one progress report out, in October, on the Starbucks open door and open bathroom policy for non-customers.

It's time for another. It's getting really bad.

Starbucks is installing boxes for safe disposal of syringes in the bathrooms of certain locations, following workers' reports of discarded needles, reports Business Insider.

Employees expressed fears about being pricked by uncapped needles and experiencing related health risks. But instead of simply preventing such characters in the coffee shops and the shops' bathrooms, the coffee brewster is going wacko left.

From Business Insider:
Starbucks is testing solutions, including installing sharps-disposal boxes, using heavier-duty trash bags to prevent needle pokes, and removing trash cans from certain bathrooms.
"These societal issues affect us all and can sometimes place our partners (employees) in scary situations, which is why we have protocols and resources in place to ensure our partners are out of harm's way," Starbucks representative Reggie Borges told Business Insider...
Starbucks is in a unique position because, unlike many other chains, its bathrooms are not for only paying customers. In May, Starbucks announced plans to open up its bathrooms to everyone, sparking some concerns about whether doing so could make the stores less safe.
"I think the bathroom policy has definitely changed the store's environment," one manager who works at a Starbucks location in Southern California told Business Insider. "It's great that Starbucks wants to try and include everyone, but that means that they include absolutely everyone."
According to the manager, workers have been forced to close down the location's restrooms a number of times after finding drugs, needles, or blood. Despite workers' care in cleaning bathrooms, at least one worker was pricked by a stashed needle, the manager said.
As of Wednesday, more than 3,700 people have signed a petition on Coworker.org, calling for Starbucks to place needle-disposal boxes in high-risk bathrooms.

  1. Needle/sharps disposal boxes are kind of a hit or miss feature present in public restrooms anywhere. I would imagine it's usually due to diabetic customers or employees, requesting accommodation. It's a smart safety device to have available, just like a quality (not that OSHA-approved crap) first aid kit.

  2. It's amazing that you can see the "really bad" effects of opening the border of a coffee shop and having no entry standards whatsoever, yet you regularly promote the exact same "very bad" garbage for our nation. There is no logic or reason to it. Walls are good, yes, as this Latin Mass priest explains, even Heaven has walls: https://youtu.be/6VKUKwxXz4c

I suspect this open border ideology, which based on your site's comments at least half of your own readers reject, was taught to you by the wonderful Jewish atheist 'scholars' who make up the core of 'libertarian' thought. Dr. Kevin McDonald covers this in his book culture of critique, and sites their own sources & their own books where they explain why they (Jews) as a group benefit from promoting open borders for others, but not for their own homeland (stolen) Israel.

Maybe it's time to start studying the Saints and the Catholic theology instead of a bunch of atheists. It will produce better fruit for sure.

    1. Hmm ...

      Colossians 3:11
In that renewal there is no longer Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all

      Romans 12:4-5
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others

      Romans 12:13
Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

      Matthew 25:44-46
“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

      Hebrews 13:1-2
Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. 2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.

  3. Are these passages referring to the church or the state?
Are there any passages that talk about obeying the civil magistrate?
What if the same has laws on immigration?

And what was that about Paul agreeing with Cretans were liars Tit. 1:12?

IOW a text out of context is a pretext.
