ReplyDeleteWhat is this straw man garbage, Dr. Block? This is surely a new low for the man. Is he trying to equate your criticisms to Trump Derangement Syndrome and the other nonsense brought up in this article? If not, then I don't know what he's trying to accomplish by sending this to you.
ReplyDeleteA once great thinking, principled, reasoned man is now grasping at the tiniest of straws to argue against your criticisms and legitimize his support for Trump.
I do find it a little bit funny when right-wingers complain about "Trump Derangement Syndrome" after 8 years of "Obama is a secret commie Muslim hellbent on destroying the 'Murican way of life." This is just the way people talk about politicians they don't like nowadays.
ReplyDeleteI also don't necessarily view it as a huge problem. I mean, sure, I would love it if people were able to level more coherent policy criticisms, but if people are going to get "deranged" over something, our political masters are far from the worst target they could pick.
