The Glenn Jacobs Victory Speech

Last week, Glenn Jacobs, known as “Kane” to pro-wrestling fans defeated Democratic nominee Linda Haney by a 2-to-1 margin in the race for mayor of Knox County, Tennessee.

Jacobs has a past history of writing some awesome very libertarian-leaning essays.

Below is his victory speech. In it, he does not discuss much in the way of liberty but does talk in a general way about making the Republican party in Tennessee much stronger.

If he is doing this in an attempt to infiltrate the Republican party, great! If he seriously thinks there are a lot of Republicans who aren't just interested in gaining power, he has a lot to learn.

But there was nothing Jacobs said in his victory speech by itself that would violate Rothbardian principles on strategy.  It depends on what he was thinking when he emphasized the growing of the Tennessee Republican party.

I am putting in the mail to Jacobs a copy of the unpublished private paper of Murray Rothbard's on strategy. I hope he absorbs it and uses it to advance a libertarian career.

Not many can do it, once someone enters the political arena the attraction to gain power is almost always too great but maybe Jacobs can be strong enough to body slam the evil ones.
