Rand Paul Explains to Jake Tapper the Nature of US-Russia Relations

This is probably Rand Paul's best foreign policy interview ever.

  1. Two observations.

First, at the beginning it seemed like Paul was giving credence to the notion that the Russian government might have "meddled" (meaning materially) in the election. He was talking about securing vote tallies and "Russian hacking." Does Paul actually believe vote counts were changed/hacked by the Russians?

Second, it's astounding how much Tapper has imbibed the Kool-Aid. Paul made a very good point about the US government interfering in foreign elections, yet Tapper was incredulous that the US government might have done anything as heinous as what the Russian government did here. Seriously? See Iran, Chile, Ukraine, etc. Tapper also spoke of NATO protecting countries against Russian government invasions, as if NATO and by implication the US government have been agents of virtue. Seriously? See Iraq, Libya, Syria.

I don't listen to mainstream media much, but if Tapper is representative of audience demand, heavens, we have a long way to go.

    1. Every last member of the MSM lies ALL OF THE TIME. There has never been any acknowledgement that Obama installed Nazis in Ukraine or that he gave active support to Al Qaeda in Syria to overthrow a secular government in a country that allowed alcohol and Christians. Not one single essential fact about either Ukraine or Syria EVER is acknowledged in the MSM. I think it's a very positive thing that they know they have to lie all of the time about everything but it's also quite disturbing to realize that few people recognize the constant lying about everything.

I suppose it's a good thing that Rand is at least hinting about these unspoken truths on TV in his very Rand sorta way.

  2. It’s good. There’s one thing he said in the middle however, that isn’t true. That the Justice Dept., with Trump as President, would have been able to continue its investigation into Russian interference into the 2016 US elections in even a half honest way.

  3. Jewish 'Russian Studies' Scholar Talks About Israeli Meddling In American Elections

Professor Stephwn F. Cohen, a Jewish professor and well known intellectual talks about Israeli meddling in American elections and American meddling in Russian elections. Then he takes calls on the Jewish background of Russian oligarchs and the 'Kosher Question.'

  4. What is so bizarre about the "hacking" is that if the Russians influenced the elections, it was by actually exposing the truth about Hillary's violations of the Espionage Act, the DNC's intentional meddling in the primaries to "hack" the Sander's campaign, and other embarrassing information that all turned out -- as far as I can tell -- to be TRUE.

It brings us back to a quote by George Orwell (and used by Ron Paul): "Truth is treason in an Empire of Lies."

    1. Indeed. It's almost as if the Democrats believe that you don't want the electorate to be fully informed before voting.

    2. The only people who care about espionage are statists. The Espionage Act only exists to protect and support the state and what it does.

Also, if you think politics isn’t a dirty business in both parties, you’re naïve. If the RNC’s and Trump campaign's emails had been hacked and released every day in the late stage of the campaign, it would have hurt them politically as well.
