BREAKING: George H.W. Bush' s Doctor Killed in a Bicycle Drive-By Shooting

This is a developing story. Return to this post for updates.

For the record.

UPDATE 1

From KGO TV Houston:

Houston cardiologist Dr. Mark Hausknecht was shot and killed on his way to work Friday morning, Houston Methodist confirmed in a statement.

Hausknecht once treated former President George H.W. Bush. He was riding his bike to work when another cyclist fatally shot him and fled the scene, police said.

UPDATE 2

Former President George H.W. Bush offered his condolences in a statement: "Mark was a fantastic cardiologist and a good man," Bush said. "I will always be grateful for his exceptional, compassionate care. His family is in our prayers."

UPDATE 3

Dr. Mark Hausknecht and the shooter were both riding bikes on South Main Street, near Texas Children's Pavilion for Women, shortly before 9 a.m. local time, Executive Assistant Police Chief Troy Finner said at a news conference.

Hausknecht was biking north when he passed the shooter going in the other direction, Finner said. The shooter turned, fired two shots at Hausknecht and rode away on his bike, Finner said.
Hausknecht was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Finner said.

  1. Can there be a more stereotypical hit? Like it's from a movie.

  2. "There is no photo of George H.W. Bush with 62-year-old Bertha O. Champagne, the live-in housekeeper who was 'crushed to death' at the Alexandria, Virginia home of Marvin P. Bush. According to Marvin's statement to police, Bertha went out to her car to retrieve some photos of her and George W. Bush to show to Marvin, on September 29th 2003 . How does one get crushed to death by her own Oldsmobile between the front of her car and a wall anyway? "Champagne was pinned between the car and a small building next to the driveway" the police report stated, with pools of blood and broken glass at the scene. No one was ever arrested or charged in the "accident." (Oh Bertha, Poor Bertha, what did you see?)

    1. Makes you wonder if Anton Yelchin was killed, rather than died in an eerily similar "freak accident."

  3. Probably a threat to the Bush family from the Deep State to stay on message and keep their mouths shut about what they know, otherwise the same thing will happen to them.
