BREAKING: Anthony Bourdain is Dead; Suicide

I had previously featured him at Target Liberty:

Oh Yeah, Anthony Bourdain Stands Up to Wolfgang Puck and the PETA Crowd (I mean really stands up)

This is a developing story. Return to this post for updates.

UPDATE

CNN confirmed Bourdain's death on Friday and said
the cause of death was suicide.

"It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain," the network said in a statement Friday morning. "His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time."

Bourdain was in France working on an upcoming episode of his award-winning CNN series.

UPDATE 2

In 2014, I wrote:
If you haven't caught Bourdain's show, Parts Unkown, on CNN, you should. There is no politically correct nonsense that is typical of most CNN reporting. It is just Bourdain travelling to different locales around the globe. He is a great story teller and has a beautiful knack for finding the neat nooks and crannies of the people, places and food of the world.

UPDATE 3

So he killed himself over a woman.

The Daily Mail reported two days before his suicide about his girlfriend, Asia Argento:
Asia Argento spent the weekend in Rome with reporter Hugo Clement, with the two seen smiling as they walked through the streets of Rome.
The pair were seen affectionately embracing just and laughing with a group of friends just a few weeks after attending the Cannes Film Festival

UPDATE 4
RW note:
Never kill yourself over a woman, The next one is always better.  Not kidding,
it is a law of nature.

--- and instead went to randomly picked ethnic holes in the wall. ---

What an incredibly ignorant, pitiful and loathsome pig you are. Not only happy with your disdain for ethnic flavors, you show your unjustified pride by calling them 'holes'.

You can go have intercourse with yourself.

  2. It's a sad thing and so shocking. I loved watching his travels and the people he met. There's something very authentic about breaking bread with normal people and experiencing a meal with them. Watching his travels and listening to his commentary allowed me learning about how other people live, how they like to live and how they cope with life; how they take care of their families, what flavors they love, the ingredients they put together and the love they put when create their foods.

I always considered Bourdain an interesting individual because despite describing himself as a 'lefty', his demeanor and opinion and love for freedom placed him much closer on the libertarian side.

I don't know why he decided to end his life or what demons were haunting him, but I will remember this man, thia flawed human, as a person worth admiring and worth loving.

  3. Dude you better pray to the saints that it's only Trump and The State who deports your ass. If they don't, the alt-righters will handle it. Crying online about the mean words whitey said will be the least of your problems.

Get back to work picking my fruit, bitch. It's cherry season.

  4. The only bit of ignorance I see here is your understanding of "hole in the wall" to be a pejorative term; the idiomatic phrase simply means obscure. Wenzel thought (for reasons I cannot comprehend) that this fellow's suicide was of interest to libertarians and posted about it. Perry Mason thinks Bourdain wasn't so hot and posted a reply. Instead of critiquing Mason's post, which was measured and not in the least disrespectful to anyone, you went on yet another vulgar little hissy fit.

I strongly suspect that you and Lab Manager are the same troll.

  5. --Torres, or he who fantasizes about black males and mestizo males---

I have to agree with Perry's comments. Bourdain could be kind of a prick. Kind of like you, with the ignorance you spout here. You are another sorry SJW who refuses in a majority duh versity community.

  7. He was on record as supporting whites being bred out of existence, which falls under the UN definition of genocide. Fuck him.

    1. It seems to me that he was just making the point that people will always be bigoted against those who look different from them. I don’t agree, but it’s an understandable position given current circumstances.

    2. And my response to his wanting the genocide of my people is just as understandable.
