An Unsolicited Letter On 'Foundations of Private Property Society Theory: Anarchism for the Civilized Person'

Hi Robert,

I received your new book and read it today. There are a couple of things
that stand out to me I want to share. But firstly, I was pleasantly
surprised as it was not nearly as detailed and nuanced as I expected,
yet clearly, precisely what is needed. The words that are therein
explain what must be said to convey the idea and then leave one
pondering the possibilities. Well done.

1) Putting the nebulous concept of Natural Law or rights on the
examination table. Being busy in my business (work for myself. One man
show.) I had not taken the time to really delve into this but always had
a rather difficult time explaining to myself and others the principle
that was satisfying to me. You quite concisely, did a very fine job of
nailing why I couldn't. It simply is not definable objectively.  Huge
issue solved!

2) Putting the possibility of summary harsh judgements of private
property violators in perspective with its government alternative. Yes,
there will be some serious crazies out there who will do some nasty
things. But looking to history and the inconceivable suffering of
millions by governments. Clearly, PPS , substantially better path.

I was somehow born libertarian and upon reading of these things in my
early twenties, it simply put names and explanations to what I already
instinctively knew. But as I have aged, I have lost my exuberance for
sharing the wonderful ideas and prospects for true liberty. Just giving
my head a rest from the constant banging of it against control freaks of
every persuasion. Ah, such an impossible task to evoke some thought!  It
is inspiring that you yet exude this enthusiasm and this book will go a
very long way toward bringing many seekers of solid ideals into the sun.
