Trump: NFL Stars "Shouldn’t Be in the Country" If They Don’t Stand for National Anthem
President Trump is a nationalist in the worst sense of the term. He loves the military and any symbolism that glorifies the Empire.
He told Fox & Friends this morning that NFL stars should stand “proudly” for the national anthem before football games.
He welcomed the NFL’s new rules imposing fines for teams allowing players to kneel on the field, but criticized allowing dissenting stars to remain in the locker room. “I don’t think people should be staying in locker rooms, but still it’s good. You have to stand proudly, or you shouldn’t be playing, you shouldn’t be there, maybe shouldn’t be in the country.”
