Chris Christie Prevented From Using Airport VIP Line

Well, the fat man had to stand in line like the rest of us.

When Christie and his New Jersey State Police security detail arrived at Newark Liberty Airport on Thursday, two days after he left office, they headed to a special access area used by dignitaries for security clearance.

But a law enforcement official familiar with the encounter tells The Associated Press that an airport police officer and a Transportation Security Administration officer directed them to the regular screening line for all passengers.

Of course, there should be no special royalty treatment for statists in the first place. Airport security should be determined by the airports themselves, or even better by each airline, without government creeps pulling this special privilege card. Then passengers would get special treatment not government clowns.

  3. It would be funny if the TSA people running the line kept closing the one he was in and made him go to the back of a different one to make him see what his politically-motivated traffic jams were like.

  4. Why does he still have a government security detail? I thought George Washington expelled the Royal governor, Ben Franklin’s son, from The Jerseys. I guess that whole Revolutionary War was just some good alternate historical fiction. Too bad, I got real excited when they said things like “No taxation unless it is used to pay for security for former governors.”
