Trump's Turning College Grads Into Democrats

White college graduates in America’s suburbs have turned hard against Republicans in elections around the country and threaten to upend the party’s control of Congress in the 2018 midterm elections, reports The Los Angeles Times.

Put off by Donald Trump’s presidency, they have been shunning Republicans in congressional and state legislative contests. Their support was crucial in electing Democrats as governor in Virginia and U.S. senator in conservative Alabama, according to the paper.

“This is a big group of people, and they’re growing, and if they turn into a base group for the Democratic Party, that really changes things a lot,” said Ruy Teixeira, a demographics expert at the left-leaning Center for American Progress. “If there’s anyone who can do that, it’s Donald Trump.”

The Trump backlash is endangering House Republican incumbents in well-off suburban districts nationwide, including more than a half dozen in Southern California.Republicans Dana Rohrabacher of Costa Mesa and Darrell Issa of Vista are two of the Democrats’ top targets for 2018.

Republicans acknowledge that suburban whites turned off by Trump pose a daunting challenge, especially when women, African Americans, Latinos and other core Democratic groups are highly motivated to vote.

Trump is just bad news. The country is going to move even more socialist because of him.

Tump has no strategic value for libertarians. He should be attacked and attacked any time he moves in a more interventionist direction.

Young people need to understand there is a non-socialist alternative to Trump.

  1. Another issue I personally would like to see explored is if Justin Amash and Thomas Massie will face primary challenges (both are up for reelection in 2018) give (especially Amash) has been critical of Trump's polices. Also agreed, people need to be shown that Trump isnt the "evil captialists" that the socialist left paints him out to be

  2. I am all for mercilessly criticizing whomever is in the White House, but is there much of a difference between congressional Republicans and Democrats when it comes to liberty? I don't recall the GOP rolling back the state when it has had the reins.

Also, I would have thought that what they learn in high school and college is turning kids away from liberty more than Trump is.

  3. Haven't college graduates always been mostly Democrats?

  4. A lesson in voter logic:

"Dear victims, we have some good news! We're allowing you to vote for your executioner!

"The first candidate is from a popular party. He promises to bash the right side of your head with a 10 lb sledgehammer.

"The second candidate is from another popular party. She promises to bash the left side of your head with a 10 lb sledgehammer.

"The third candidate is from a minor, somewhat unpopular party, and he promises to not bash your head at all, and to set you free."

The election is held, and the first candidate receives 48% of the vote, the second candidate receives 49% of the vote, and the third candidate receives 3% of the vote. The second candidate squeeks out a win.

Outraged, one voter who voted for the first candidate asked his friend how he voted.

"I voted for the third candidate."

"You stupid bastard! He didn't have a chance! Now get in line and get the head bashing you deserve, and I'll have to suffer along with you!"

  5. If only someone had taken the time to roll their eyes at the SJWs we could have avoided all this!

  6. 1. Since the Republicans control Congress, the Supreme Court and the presidency, why is the government still subsidizing the Pol Pot/SJW curriculum which infests every "educational" institution in the USA?

    2. Since the Republicans control the Michigan legislature, the Michigan Supreme Court and the governnorship, why is the Michigan government still subsidizing the Pol Pot/SJW curriculum which infests every "educational" institution in the state, except for perhaps 2 of them?

    3. I'd blame our lack of "outreach" and success on monstrosities like Mr. Sarwark as opposed to tepid support for some Trump policies from some libertarians.
