The U.S. military on Sunday shot down a Syrian Air Force fighter jet that bombed local forces aligned with Americans.
The U.S.-led coalition headquarters in Iraq said in a written statement that a U.S. F-18 Super Hornet shot down a Syrian government SU-22 after it dropped bombs near the U.S. partner forces, known as the Syrian Democratic Forces.
The U.S. had not shot down a Syrian regime aircraft before Sunday's confrontation, said Navy Capt. Jeff Davis, a Pentagon spokesman.

Why in the hell is Trump attacking the Syrian Air Force? I've been warning about this for months but yet dismissed by many now its happening— Luke Rudkowski (@Lukewearechange) June 18, 2017
The idea that Trump isn't going to escalate around the world is absurd.
In the last few days, we have learned of escalations in Yemen and Afghanistan and now this in Syria.
Awfully quiet at Libertarians for Trump.
