Is Pence Making His Move?; Forms His Own PAC

Vice President Mike Pence is launching his own PAC — the "Great America Committee."

This is the first time ever a sitting vice president has formed such a separate political operation.

A source close to the Vice President told NBC News that the organization will supposedly "provide resources for the Vice President to actually support candidates who are supportive of the president's agenda."

Leadership PACs can accept individual donations of up to $5,000.

Two of Pence's top aides — Nick Ayers and Marty Obst — will head the new organization.

  1. I believe that Vice President George H.W. Bush did form a PAC (Fund For America's Future) while he was in office anticipating a run for the White House in 1988.
