Russia May Turn Over Snowden to U.S.

NBC News has learned that U.S. intelligence has collected information that Russia is considering turning over Edward Snowden as a “gift” to President Donald Trump — who has called the NSA leaker a “spy” and a “traitor” who deserves to be executed.

“That’s according to a senior U.S. official who has analyzed a series of highly sensitive intelligence reports detailing Russian deliberations and who says a Snowden handover is one of various ploys to ‘curry favor’ with Trump. A second source in the intelligence community confirms the intelligence about the Russian conversations and notes it has been gathered since the inauguration.”

Now, this would be a serious problem for Trump fanboys. President Trump will never let Snowden walk, no way, no how.

"I think he's a total traitor and I would deal with him harshly," Trump said in July. "And if I were president, Putin would give him over." In October 2013, Trump tweeted: "Snowden is a spy who should be executed."

  2. Snowden was granted another 2 year visa a few weeks ago, so this speculation is old news.

    1. Yeah right, that's why Snowden is reacting on twitter.

    2. What's Trumps play here? Lose supporters and gain respect from the CIA/Deep State? Puh-lease.

Here, I'll rewrite the headline and nut:

NBC News Carries Water for Deep State - Snowden Gift Exchange Edition

"Anonymous Senior US Intelligence Officials (aka some government stooges with ulterior motives) told NBC News exactly what they wanted printed in the papers. After confirming the dirt dished by spooks matched their editorial agenda, NBC News printed the uncorroborated claims made by the anonymous government stooges with ulterior motives.

After the NBC report was published, #fakenews organizations all across the US and Britain reprinted the uncorroborated words of two anonymous top senior intelligence officials, presumably with a wink to the Deep State."

Snowden's tweet is tongue in cheek: 'Finally: Irrefutable evidence that I never cooperated with Russian Intel. No country trades away spies.'

  5. Why are we supposed to believe this news? Because the MSM is reporting that 'anonymous intelligence sources' supposedly said something?
And we're support to buy it right away?! Haven't we learned anything in the last months/years than to jump on the latest anonymous reports and trust them?
IMO the purpose of this 'news' isn't to besmirch Putin or Russia. It's intended to show that Trump really is in cahoots with Putin. So much so, that they are giving each other 'gifts'.
Dollars to donuts that Sunday's talk shows will be full of these latest revelations. Mccain himself will be telling us how he warned us - so let's go bomb someone!

  6. Snowden will be nothing but a piece of lint to be brushed off Putin's latest suit if Vladimir feels he can get some relief from American sanctions on Russia. If Putin presents Snowden as a gift to Donald Trump, Vladimir's action will be equivalent to a cat bringing a bird as a gift to it's owner.

By the way, a cat that taught me how to treat others, did this on a regular basis in the 1960s and 1970s.
