Mattis Confers With Israeli Defense Minister, 'To Underscore His Unwavering Commitment To Israel's Security

Martin Hill writes:
U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis has officially licked Israel's boots and demonstrated his complete fealty, via an official press release:

"Mattis spoke by phone with Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman to underscore his unwavering commitment to Israel's security, Davis said. The secretary called his Israeli counterpart during his first week, the captain said, to emphasize his intent to advance the U.S.-Israeli defense relationship and to protect Israel's qualitative military edge.
Mattis and Lieberman also discussed regional security challenges in the Middle East and the need to create common approaches to challenges facing the region, the spokesman said. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the U.S.-Israeli defense relationship, and look forward to meeting in person in the future, Davis said."

  1. You write as if that is a problem. Yet you don't want to deal with the core issue - the 'Israeli' presence in the media and government that makes this possible.

  2. One positive outcome from the alt-right movement. They're forcing the charge of "anti-semitism" to be called again and again, and it's losing its sting.
So maybe, we can criticize Israel at some point without being effectively charged with being a "Jew - Hater". You gotta admire how the Israelis have interwoven the violent political entity that is their government with their religion.
BTW, Max Blumenthal's (yes, son of THAT Blumenthal) book "Goliath", is a devastating critique of modern Israel's hard right turn. Recommended.
