Putin Talks to the President of Iran

I wonder what the Iran-hating military Generals surrounding Donald Trump think about this.

From the Office of Vladimir Putin:
Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani.
he two leaders stressed that the successful completion of the joint operation on liberating Aleppo from the militants is an important step towards full victory over international terrorism in Syria and towards establishing peace in that country.
The parties agreed to continue close coordination in assisting political settlement of the Syrian crisis, in particular, to hold talks in Astana between the parties involved in the conflict with the aim of reaching tangible agreements.
Hassan Rouhani expressed his heartfelt condolences in connection with the murder of Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov.
