A Note To Big Black Dudes

I have written about this before, if a police officer gives you orders on the street you should immediately comply with his orders, You do not have any edge on the street. Fight things out in court if you have to but not on the street,

This goes doubly if you are a big black dude, You physically appear a much bigger threat,

The unarmed Eric Garner in New York, killed by cops, was a big dude, so was Alton Sterling, killed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana by coppers.

The recent copper shooting in Tulsa, Oklahoma was of an unarmed big black dude, Terence Crutcher .

These are not coincidences. Big black dudes who are not complying with coppers appear as major physical threats. Crutcher had his hands up but was not complying with officers and was walking back toward his vehicle and appeared to be reaching inside, a bad move, very bad.

It is also noteworthy that he was shot by a female,  Betty Shelby. She appears petite next to him. It's probably political correctness that got him killed. If coppers in Tulsa were required to be of a reasonable height and weight, not adjusted to get more females on the force, you wouldn't have as many officers who feel threatened by big black dudes.

Yeah, petite females can protect themselves in such situations, by putting a bullet into the threat and that's what Betty did.

  1. The problem with this post is that anyone who reads it and has bought into the whole idea of Political Correctness to a fault will see the article as racist and will disregard it. The reality is that this doesn't just apply to big black dudes but anyone who a cop feels threatened by another person be it black white mexican male or female.

  2. Perhaps you have some information I lack. Last I heard, there was no audio released that would determine whether he was "not complying with officers". Also, you say he was apparently reaching inside his vehicle. Quite a feat, with the window rolled up and the door closed!

"Yeah, petite females can protect themselves in such situations, by putting a bullet into the threat and that's what Betty did."

No, she didn't. She panicked and committed murder.

I'm not trying to negate your advice; if anything, my objections to your analysis reinforce the point you're making: whenever you're near a cop, your life hangs by a thread.

  3. Police officers have told me that, in their minds, the role of the police is to defuse a dangerous situation, not to assume the role of a combat soldier. As our author says, the petite female cop will be tempted to equalize things by reaching for her gun, as a first, not final, resort. The presence of a physically imposing male cop, on the other hand may more expeditiously neutralize potential violence. Political correctness, in police recruitment is, of course, only making the situation worse, if not deadly. Another dimension of contemporary problems in policing is the distancing of the police officer from his constituency. Studying to pass standardized tests, required for promotion and salary enhancement, has replaced walking the beat.
