I am strangely cheered by the fact that these people are paying more attention to their own lives and concerns and ignoring the leaders of our Fatherland.
I was thinking the same thing. Come to think of it, the press doesn't pay much attention to the VP. Why would the man on the street?
On the other hand it behooves us to understand politics, to see the see the subtle and insidious ways in which we are lied to by our so called leaders, and more importantly to look at ourselves to see how and why we as individuals bought and buy into the fallacious idea of the state, especially the American democratic one, as the stalwart ally of human freedom.
We actually don't know that. It would have been helpful if Dice would have first asked, "Did you vote last election?"- although there's no guarantee they would be honest in answering, so there's that.

If only we all didn't know who the politicians were.
ReplyDeletePolitics is a struggle between those who are really engaged. These people don't really matter politically.

Yet another reason to abolish politics.
