Hillary Clinton has denounced Max Blumenthal, son of her friend, longtime adviser and confidante, Sidney Blumenthal, for his disparaging remarks about Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel, who passed away earlier this month.

“Secretary Clinton emphatically rejects these offensive, hateful, and patently absurd statements about Elie Wiesel,” said Jake Sullivan, senior policy advisor to Hillary Clinton, in a statement to The Jerusalem Post.Elie Wiesel went from a victim of war crimes to a supporter of those who commit them. He did more harm than good and should not be honored.— Max Blumenthal (@MaxBlumenthal) July 2, 2016
“She believes they are wrong in all senses of the term. She believes that Max Blumenthal and others should cease and desist in making them,” Sullivan added. “Elie Wiesel was a hero to her as he was to so many, and she will keep doing everything she can to honor his memory and to carry his message forward.”
Among the Clinton emails that have been publicly released, there are a few which reveal Sidney sending Hillary emails of his some of his son's anti-Isreali articles.

Scott Horton has had Max on his showquite a few times, not your average likudnik at all.
ReplyDeleteBlood is thicker than water, but the Jewish vote is thicker than blood.
ReplyDeleteAlso, with all respect, calling Max Blumenthal's articles "Anti- Israeli" is like calling your articles "Anti-American".
ReplyDeleteCapn Mike, it isn't the Jewish vote that politicians want.
ReplyDeleteBlumenthal is just stating objective facts, I am not sure how facts can be referred to as "absurd". The only fact that Blumenthal gets wrong is Weisel as a victim of war crimes. Weisel doesn't have a tattoo like other people interned in concentration camps.
