Sheldon Adelson, the multi-billionaire casino magnate, and the ultimate Israel First advocate, voiced support for Donald Trump yesterday.
“Yes, I’m a Republican, he’s a Republican,” Adelson told the New York Times when asked if he would back Trump. “He’s our nominee . . . He was one of the 17. He won fair and square.”
Adelson made the comments while at a gala dinner in Manhattan for the World Values Network, a Jewish organization, according to NYT.
NYT reports that he said on Thursday that he had spoken to Trump recently, but did not elaborate about the timing or nature of their communication. He told another journalist that he thinks that . Trump “will be good for Israel.”
