Rand Paul Down to 1%

Sad, sad, sad. What could have been, if he stood tough and distanced himself from Mitch McConnell and the establishment, in this era of the anti-establishment candidate. It was a terrible miscalculation by Rand and his campaign---and did a lot to damage libertarian momentum in the country.

This weakness will also make him vulnerable in his bid to be re-elected to the Senate. Most embarrassing, he could very well be beaten by Trump and Cruz in Kentucky in the presidential caucuses that he pushed for so aggressively (and is paying for).

Donald Trump is polling at 36% nationwide with registered Republicans and Republican-leaning independents, according to the latest CNN/ORC Poll.

Trump is followed by Ted Cruz at 16%, Ben Carson at 14% and n. Marco Rubio at 12%.

Jeb Bush is down 5 points to 3% and Rand is down 4 points to 1%.

  1. I soon expect for someone in Libertarian Inc. to write an article with the title "Rand Paul is too good for Libertarians" essentially blaming Ron Paul supports for not sufficiently backing Rand. This article will blame libertarians for being "purist" and not being "practical" or "pragmatic."

    1. It's because Rand is not good enough for his father's followers. Rand has inherited none of his father's wisdom or decency.

  2. He wanted to be part of the Republican club. Thank you Robert for your excellent coverage of Rand's shiftiness and compromises. At least a tyrant unites our movement and doesn't distort our principles.
