American Metal Band Was Scheduled to Play at Paris Venue Where Hostages Were Taken

The rock band scheduled to perform Friday night at the Paris venue,  Le Bataclan, where a terrorist attack occurred is the American metal band, The Eagles of Death Metal, from Palm Desert, California.

It was not immediately clear when the hostages were taken – before, after or during the show – or if the band members were among the hostages.

The band management said in a statement on its Facebook page: "We are still currently trying to determine the safety and whereabouts of all our band and crew. Our thoughts are with all of the people involved in this tragic situation."
