Ross Ulbricht vs. A Mafia Hit Man

This is early 21st century justice in America.

Ross Ulbricht, who never killed anyone, and simply set up a drug exchange network on the internet, faces a minimum of 20 years in jail. Yet, it appears that prosecutors are seeking a life sentence.

Meanwhile. NyPo tells us that former mobster John Alite  spent only "14 years in prison on charges and convictions that included six murders and at least 37 shootings."

The sentencing of Ulbricht is admittedly in a different court than Altie's,and perhaps some kind of dealw as cut, but any decent person has to be stunned by how aggressively prosecutors are pursing Ulbricht.

The tactics used by the prosecutors during the trial and the rulings of the judge show there was no attempt at seeking truth or any attempt at a fair trial. Keep in mind that the judge ruled against Ulbricht when his attorney sought a delay in the trial of just two months, at which point it would have become public information, that could have been used by Ulbricht in the trial, that two key government agents that investigated Ulbricht were dirty agents, who created fictitious names and Bitcoin accounts to at times blackmail Ulbricht, steal from Ulbricht, etc.

Ross is scheduled for sentencing on May 29. Let us hope that the judge gets a hold of some semblance of fairness and decency from deep in her soul and that she ignores the wild demands of the prosecutors.

  1. Our nations purveyors of death, and their legion of apologists have so warped the American psyche that all sense of proportion in the justice system has been exterminated in virulent retribution against anyone who looks like a nail that needs to be hammered. I have a very long memory but my mind no longer recognizes this nation as the one I was born into, and at this point I am literally terrified to venture too deep into the "Constitution Free Zone", 36 miles south of me. I am afraid this whole country is now a "Constitutional Free Zone" as Ross Ulbricht and his family are now fully aware. Ross Ulbricht is sadly another in a never ending line of individuals who have been caught up in the spiders web known as the War on Drugs, which seeks to sucks it's victims dry to fully nourish this omnipotent penal state.

In an interview towards the end of his life, guitarist George Harrison stated that when we went beyond the gates of his estate known as "Friar Park", he would ask himself "What am I doing here". He no longer felt comfortable with, or recognized the country where he was born as being one he could relate to any more. Unfortunately I share that feeling of deep anxiety, and I will find myself sitting in a darkened room late at night wondering "What am I doing here. At this point the only thing that allows me to sleep sometimes is the comfort of my aging black cat, and drinking tea laced with valerian root.

    God bless America.

  2. I am beyond being stunned by the government's injustice system. Ulbricht may well be the Michael Milken of the millennial generation.

    1. If one resets one's expectations in alignment to living under a police state orchestrated to progressively empower the state and enrich the ruling class, all the state's behavior suddenly falls into place. It all makes perfect sense. If one abandons the pretense surrounding the alleged power of a piece of yellowed paper called the constitution and similar lies about "limitations" on government (the fantasy belief in which got us here in the first place), then one becomes knowingly familiar with the why’s and wherefores of show trials like this Ross Ulbricht episode. Such kabuki becomes expected, the script understood from the start.

Misperceiving who the enemy really is, what he really is, and accordingly how he really behaves as he goes about his business presents the real problem and source of angst. Once the devil in the room becomes truly known, life gets a lot easier. There are no surprises. Everything is behaving according to its nature. The devil becomes actually quite predictable. Even humorously so the way a dull schoolyard bully can be lumbering around the schoolyard bashing the heads of those who dare to challenge his authority.

Subconsciously clinging to the propaganda jammed into your head all your life about how the government is here to serve us and dispense justice is what keeps you feeling stunned. Misery arises when your expectations stemming from such lies keeps getting shattered by the state's actual observed behavior. Check your premises and reset your expectations.
