McCain Should Do Some Stand-up

By Chris Rossini

John McCain can moonlight at The Improv. There's plenty of material. I know exactly how he should open his show too. The first bit could be McCain's critique of John Kerry:
“I’ve noticed in his tenure here in the Senate but also as secretary of state that he sometimes interprets things as he wants them to be rather than what they really are.”
Wow...of all people to make such an accusation!

Who remembers when McCain saw victory in Afghanistan?
"Afghanistan, we don't read about anymore, because it's succeeded."
Or this whopper on Iraq (one of many)....
"I think most Iraqis would greet the removal of Saddam Hussein with relief and pleasure."
Or how about the time McCain saw Iran training Al Qaeda?
"As you know, there are al Qaeda operatives that are taken back into Iran, given training as leaders, and they're moving back into Iraq."
No love for John Kerry here....but John McCain is the last person to be accusing others of succumbing to delusions.

Then again, it makes good stand-up material.
