Lapdog Media Slobbers on Bureaucrat

By Chris Rossini

Leave it to government's media lapdogs to keep things in perspective. Here they are slobbering over Baltimore's State Attorney Marilyn Mosby:

  • BusinessInsider calls her a "rock star prosecutor".
  • ThinkProgress says she's "a champion of reform".
  • Salon calls her a "badass prosecutor".
  • NYTimes says she's "seen as tough on police misconduct".
  • Slate calls her "an instant political sensation".
  • The Daily Beast wonders if she can "save Baltimore".
  • Fusion calls her "America’s new favorite prosecutor".

These opinion molders all seem to be on the same page. What a slobber-fest.

Get that bureaucrat a towel.

  1. Good catch. We can revisit this post when the charges are quietly continued for months until their final dismissal. Prosecutors, being political animals themselves, can be expected to seek publicity in a case like this by announcing charges, then quietly failing to actively file charges or more quietly making procedural moves to effectively drop prosecution. The Ministry of Truth would, of course, fail to cover any dismissal of charges or similar developments.

If we were to see prompt arrests, followed by speedy prosecutions, fully covered in the media, I would be happy to admit to being wrong in this case. Time will tell.
