HOT BREAKING Petraeus Near Deal to Plead Guilty for Secrets Leak

Retired General David Petraeus is likely to plea guilty to sharing classified information with his mistress in a deal being negotiated with the Justice Department in ordrer to avoid an embarrassing, protracted trial, reports NYT.

Petraeus, who was the top U.S. military commander during the Iraq war, resigned as director of the CIA in 2012after  it was discovered he was having an extramarital  affair with Paula Broadwell, a former Army reservist who wrote a biography of him entitled All In: The Education of General David Petraeus.

UPDATE

WSJ is reporting that Petraeus will plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of mishandling classified information.
