One More Time

Rand and Al had breakfast yesterday.

Yes, Rand Paul discussed "criminal justice" with a man who called for the arrest of  six white men who were falsely accused of raping Tawana Brawley.  The jury found Sharpton liable for making seven defamatory statements during the case.

From Salon:
In 1989, after a grand jury found against Tawana Brawley, a defiant Rev. Al Sharpton brought her to New York to the trial of six young men charged with raping and nearly killing a jogger in Central Park. He had Brawley shake hands with the defendants. Soon after, they were convicted of having attacked the jogger.
Sharpton claimed that the defendants, black and Hispanic, were being “railroaded” and that Brawley should “see how the criminal justice system responds differently for a white victim than it does for a black victim.” But the “system” had sought perpetrators aggressively in both cases, regardless of color. It was Sharpton who responded differently, to reinforce the lie that assistant district attorney Stephen Pagones, the Brawley case’s true victim, was a racist and rapist.

  2. Jon Rappoport has a VERY interesting piece out on Al Sharpton today. http://jonrappoport.wordpress.com/2014/11/21/staging-ferguson-a-covert-op-and-al-sharpton/
Apparently, Sharpton is some sort of Republican deep operative via Roger Stone.
