A group of NYC-Ferguson protesters marched south from the New York Public Library and turned right on 37th Street toward Seventh Avenue about 9:30 a.m. – but then tried to make a U-turn toward the Thanksgiving Day parade route.
“We will not tolerate, under any circumstances, any effort to disrupt this parade,” NYPD police commissioner William Bratton said Thursday morning.
“This is a national event, a historic event. Anybody who would seek to interrupt it would be callous, indeed, on this very special day."
Protesters were planning to shut the parade down,
