Donald Trump Releases First Campaign Ads: "Trump Will Protect Israel"

Donald Trump has released his first campaign ads.

The two radio spots talk about the Mexican-border wall and state that "politicians are all talk and no action.”

Trump Promise in the ads, that he will make America great again by making fantastic trade deals and strengthen the military, to the point that "nobody will mess with us."

 In the second  spot, a female narrator says Trump "will protect Israel and brutally and quickly cut the head off of ISIS."

She continues by stating that since Trump is self-funding his campaign, he won't be beholden to special interests and lobbyists (apparently other than Sheldon Adelson -RW)   .

 Donald Trump, like Rand Paul, Marco Rubio and all the rest, has reached out to Sheldon Adelson. You know what happened. NYT reports that during the conversation, the person briefed on the discussion said, Adelson told Trump that his most important issue when considering a candidate is the safety of Israel. Presbyterian Trump then emphasized his personal and family ties to the Jewish community in New York.

Sounds like Adelson took him to be a gonif.

More to the point, Murray Sabrin emails:

The Israeli government is responsible for the safety of its people, not the US military funded by US taxpayers.  If Americans want to support the Israeli government, they should send checks to the Netanyahu government.  Or better yet, send their sons, daughters and grandchildren to serve in the Israeli military.

HOT F-Bomb Filled Trump Bashing Latino Kids

With the F-bombs dropped in this attack ad, I don't think it is going to scare away many Trump supporters. Amidst a couple of good points, race confrontational. Odd.

Donald Trump On Burqas

While arguing against continued U.S. intervention in the Middle East, Donald Trump a defense of burqas, reports Salon.

“They want to” wear burqas, Trump insisted. “What they hell are we getting involved for?”

“In fact, it is easier,” to wear a burqa, Trump argued. “You don’t have to put on make-up,” he said, pointing to women in the audience before waving his hand across his face.

“Wouldn’t that be easier,” he asked again. “I tell ya, if I was a woman,” Trump continued, signaling a burqa cover with the wave of his hand, “I’m ready darling, let’s go,” he said, mimicking a woman forgoing make-up for a burqa.

Naturally, Salon has a problem with Trump's remark:

 Donald Trump offered a mind-numbingly sexist defense of burqas..

But actually, I like the remark. It shows a libertarian streak, of live and let live, but at the same time with humor he shows that he personally is not a big fan.

Secret Service to Protect Trump and Carson

The Secret Service will give agent protection to Ben Carson and Donald Trump while heavily upgrading Hillary Clinton's existing detail, a Washington source close to the agency’s plans confirmed to Newsmax.

The deployment of agents around Republican candidates Trump and Carson is set to begin as early as next week. Approximately two dozen agents will be assigned to each candidate.

Donald Trump: My Immigration Plans Would Have Prevented 9/11

Donald Trump says that if he had been president in 2001, his immigration policies would have kept terrorists from attacking the World Trade Center on September 11.

"I am extremely, extremely tough on illegal immigration. I'm extremely tough on people coming into this country," Trump said on Fox News Sunday. "I believe that if I were running things, I doubt those families would have -- I doubt that those people would have been in the country."

"Jeb {Bush] said 'we were safe with my brother.' 'We were safe.' Well, the World Trade Center just fell down," Trump continued. "Now, am I trying to blame him? I'm not blaming anybody. But the World Trade Center came down. So when he said, 'we were safe' -- that's not safe. We lost 3,000 people."

"I don't know why he keeps bringing this up," Bush told CNN Sunday. "It doesn't show that he's a serious person as it relates to being commander-in-chief and being the architect of a foreign policy."

Bush said that Trump talks "as though he's still on 'The Apprentice,'"

"I mean, literally, talking about Syria saying 'ISIS should take out Assad, then Russia should take out ISIS' as though it was some kind of board game and not a serious approach is just - this is just another example of the lack of seriousness," Bush said.

Next week Jeb added, "Mr. Trump is probably going to say that FDR was around when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor."

Of course, they both think the United States and the world are board games. The only difference is that Bush thinks he should be the lead central planner and Trump thinks it should be him.

They are both megalomaniacs. The only difference between them is personal style and whose lives they want to interfere with.

Trump is better on taxes, but, overall, he scares me more.

Oh boy, a new Donald Trump book: Crippled America: How to Make America Great Again.

Rand Paul Aide: "CNBC can go f--- themselves.”

There is a major brouhaha over the terms of the upcoming Republican presidential debate on CNBC.

Members of the Trump campaign, for example, have threatened that Donald Trump will not appear unless changes are made in the debate format, in particular, a reversal of CNBC's desire not to have opening and closing statements and a cut down in the debate from 3 hours to 2 hours,

The most eloquent comment to Politico on the current CNBC rules came from a top Rand Paul aide:

Chris LaCivita, an aide to Rand Paul, chimed in: “If we don’t have opening and closing statements, CNBC can go f--- themselves.”

BTW, friends tell me that the fact that LaCivitia is speaking as a spokesman for Rand in the first place, suggests that Mike Rothfeld and his group has lost influence with Rand and that Rand is bringing on more establishment type aides.

There is also gossip that Rothfeld and LaCaivita do not like each other on a personal level.

Trump Gives Thumbs Up to Hillary Debate Perfromance

Donald Trump praised Hillary Clinton for her debate performance last night, saying “she did what she had to do.”

“It was a very calm, very nice, very easy debate,” Trump told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” by phone this morning. Trump live-tweeted the entire debate and slammed all the Democratic candidates as “very scripted and rehearsed.”

“You were bored weren’t you,” host Joe Scarborough asked, clearly having taken a scroll of Trump’s twitter feed.

“It wasn’t a very exciting debate. I wanted to turn, but I promised people I was going to tweet,” Trump admitted.

Trump had some strong opinions on his potential Democratic opponents, including dismay that Bernie Sanders did not present a strong enough challenge to Clinton:

I think Bernie, actually, for the sake of a good soundbite, let her off the hook. You have an FBI investigation on the emails, and he just let her off … I think that when you’re losing – because he is losing badly if you look nationally – when you’re losing that badly, you have to go a lot stronger.

“The other potential candidates, a couple of those shouldn’t have been up there,” Trump said before adding he had hoped to see Joe Biden on stage.

In the end, Trump declared Clinton the clear winner:

She did her job. In all fairness, like her or not, she did her job. And they were very, very timed, and they probably, if they want to win, they really should’ve been a lot tougher in my opinion.

NBC has announced that Trump will host “SNL” on Nov. 7 with musical guest Sia.

According to NyPo, moderator Anderson Cooper has already indicated that he will ask the Democrats question about Trump, which will insert him into the conversation on stage if the candidates don’t bring him up themselves.

How Donald Trump Made a Stock Analyst Rich by Getting Him Fired

One way to gain monetary success in modern day America may be to somehow get your name attached to Donald Trump, it doesn't matter what the connection---even if you get fired as a result of him  (in real life, not the television show).

The latest attack piece on Trump is coming via Barron's and has to do with an analyst who was fired as a result of warning about some bad Donald Trump Atlantic City bonds.

From Barron's:

Barron’s isn’t going to join the many attempted media takedowns of Trump by unearthing new details about his business and personal life. They, so far, have only seemed to add to his celebrity and popularity.

But we would like to revisit an incident dating back to the early-1990s that, we feel, reflects on his character. That was when he unleashed a brutal personal attack on an obscure gaming-securities analyst, Marvin Roffman, who toiled for a midsize Philadelphia brokerage house, Janney Montgomery Scott, leading to Roffman’s unceremonious sacking. Trump hardly exhibited the grace under pressure that befits someone aspiring to the presidency...

Roffman’s sin was to express skepticism about the financial prospects of Trump’s Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, N.J., to The Wall Street Journal just prior to its opening April 4, 1990.

It wasn’t as if this were the first time Roffman had badmouthed the Taj. He’d been sounding warnings on the giant casino ever since the Trump entity issued $675 million in junk bonds at an interest rate of 14% so construction could be finished. For a time in early-1990, the glitz of the project (Trump’s publicists dubbed it the “Eighth Wonder of the World”) and the magic of the Trump name helped drive the bonds’ price to be valued at 101 cents on the dollar.

But Roffman had been advising investors to sell the bonds virtually from their date of issue all the way up to his firing, when the bonds had sunk to around 80. He reasoned that the Taj couldn’t earn enough revenue to cover the interest.

And he proved right. The Taj defaulted on its first interest payment in October 1990, driving the bonds’ price down into the 20s. This pushed the Taj into filing a Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization the following spring.

I met with Marvin a couple of years after his getting fired from Janney Montgomery Scott. He had set up a money management firm in Philadelphia. He wasn't really a closer, but he had a partner who was. I guess the prospect spiel went something like this. "Put your money with the financial genius who knew Trump's bonds were going to go bad and stuck to his guns and got fired for it."

Then Marvin would enter the room for a few minutes, sort of as a  minor god, say "Hi," maybe say something about the markets, then leave and the close was made. I remember even back then things were going well for him early on. Once when I met with him in his office, he was buying a $15,000 sub-zero refrigerator, something unheard of in the early 1990s.

Marvin talked to Barron's about the firing, and he is justifiably still pissed off, but he seems to also to know that it was his going up against Trump that made him the successful money manager he became:

We contacted Roffman last week, who in the wake of his firing became quite successful. He founded a financial advisory firm in 1991 that ran more than $500 million by 2007 at his retirement. The 76-year-old now lives in a 15,000-square-foot mansion featuring extensive gardens and 40 rooms in the Delaware resort town of Rehoboth.

“In a way I owe Donald Trump a lot because he forced me into a new career that turned out well,” he mused in a phone interview. “But that doesn’t excuse the hell he subjected me to in 1990, sliming my reputation so much that I got fired and couldn’t find another job as an analyst. He acted viciously towards me because, I guess, he felt that I had personally attacked his brand. His image is all-important to him.”...[Roffman also sued Trump] Says Roffman, “I signed a confidentiality agreement, and if I learned one thing from my dealings with Trump, he’s nobody you want to mess with. He can play rough.”

New Poll: Rand Paul Destroys Donald Trump

There has really been nothing this stunning since Nikita Kruchev and Leonid Brezhnev won elections in the old Soviet Union.

Last night I won the Republican Liberty Caucus straw poll.
This is the biggest straw poll in the key early state of New Hampshire and a crucial test of who has the organization in place to turn out their supporters.

Rand won with 57% of the vote. Trump came in with just 6.9%.

Now if Rand can only figure out how to control the rest of the country the way he controlled the RLC vote, he will be straight on his way to the 8 year throne.

When Will Rand Stand Down?

Rand Paul may be stuck in the presidential race much longer than it is going to do him any good. Another Rand tactical blunder may keep him in the race until March, which could make him quite the laughingstock. Howard Fineman explains:

This past week, his campaign's slow leak threatened to turn into a full blowout.

Nationally, Paul's poll numbers have sunk so low that he is in danger of not making the cut for the CNBC presidential debate on Oct. 28. The minimum is 3 percent, which Paul makes only if the network adheres to its promise to "round up" the numbers for those with at least 2.5 percent. (Paul is currently at 2.3 percent or 2.8, depending on which poll aggregator you use.) And of course he can't afford to lose ground in any other new poll.

The money situation is just as dicey. A super PAC that had been backing Paul bailed on him last week, and his own campaign reported that he had collected only $2.5 million in the third quarter of this year -- about two-thirds less than the previous quarter and about one-tenth of what Carson took in...

The reasons for the decline of the Paul campaign over the last year are adding up. They include the advent  of more outrageous, unpredictable outsiders like real estate mogul Donald Trump and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson;...Paul's own departures from libertarian orthodoxy on spending and Senate procedure. His prickly, impatient persona, which made him so fascinating to reporters, hasn't played well on the campaign trail either...

Fran Wendelboe, a grassroots GOP organizer in [New Hampshir] who is unaffiliated with any candidate, was less positive about Paul.

"He's running on fumes up here," she said. "Trump is just blowing everything else out, and yes, he has a ground organization. A lot of would-be Rand people are with Trump. And if they aren't with Trump, they seem to be going in the direction of [Texas Sen.] Ted Cruz."

With the situation murky on the presidential campaign trail, Paul and his aides need to worry about their Old Kentucky Home. The current GOP nominee for governor, businessman Matt Bevin (who has feuded with Paul in the past), recently said that, while he wasn't endorsing anyone, his personal favorite for the GOP presidential nomination was Carson....

In the general election for his Senate seat in 2016, Paul is likely to face a strong Democratic opponent, probably State Auditor Adam Edelen, a personable, eloquent young pol with rural roots, ties to the University of Kentucky, and good support in metropolitan Louisville.

That might mean that the safer course for Paul would be to drop out of the presidential race and focus on the Senate. His ally of convenience, senior Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell, would prefer it. As Senate leader, McConnell has a GOP majority to protect.

But having insisted on a separate presidential caucus next March, Paul can hardly stand down now, or anytime soon. He has to stay in the race until at least early spring.

"Rand is stuck," said Rep. John Yarmuth (D-Ky.), who didn't sound unhappy about that prospect.

New Clinton Book is a ‘Horrifying True Story’

“The Clintons’ War on Women” author Roger Stone is bracing for a Clinton war on him and his co-author, Robert Morrow.

The Skyhorse Publishing book won’t be released until Oct. 13, but progressive outlets Mother Jones and Media Matters have already trashed the authors.

“They are apes - - t about a book they haven’t read,” Stone told me. “All copies are in a vault at my publisher under 24-hour live security.”

Stone is attacked by the publications as a former Republican dirty trickster and adviser to Donald Trump, and Morrow is an eccentric who posts hateful and disgusting tweets about the Clintons.
Stone recently described the book to Breitbart News as “a horrifying true story of rape, intimidation, coverup, drugs, greed and power.”

“The book isn’t about me or Morrow, the best deep researcher in America. We are not running for president,” Stone told me. “The book stands on its own. Stunning exposé or smear\
job? Let the readers decide.”
